GULF COAST GULLWING / BODY & COMPONENTS

Gullwing Body Kit

Choose a body package with a clear boundary: the fiberglass pieces you need, the parts you already own, and the additional components your build will require.

Start with a panel-by-panel scope

A Gullwing body kit enquiry is most useful when it specifies the body work you are starting with. Are you planning an entirely new project, replacing a shell, or collecting pieces around an existing chassis? These are different situations, even if each begins with the same body shape.

Our offering centers on a US-manufactured fiberglass shell with molded door panels and a fiberglass interior foundation. The exact supplied panel and interior piece list must be established with your quote. Do not use the number of parts visible in a workshop photograph as the list of items included in a body package.

Understand the shell’s defining detail

The mold comes from an original 1954 first-series reference body. On that early reference, the wheel-arch eyebrows were separate pieces. The reproduction integrates their shape into the main fiberglass shell, so the eyebrow form is part of the body construction rather than a separate decorative item in the package.

This distinction matters when comparing body photographs, planning exterior trim, or asking which panels are supplied loose. The new fiberglass body is a replica foundation. If your build calls for a particular edge detail, opening or finish, bring that requirement into the specification discussion rather than inferring it from the historical reference.

Body package or body with components?

A body-focused enquiry suits a builder who wants to organize most of the supporting systems separately. A body-and-components enquiry can also cover specialist glass, door hinges, spring struts, latches, bumpers and finishing trim. Neither phrase should substitute for an itemized quotation.

Make two lists before comparing the options: parts you own and parts you still need. For existing items, include the supplier, version, dimensions if known, and photographs. For missing items, explain the function or location rather than guessing a part number. This helps keep repeated purchases and compatibility questions visible at the planning stage.

  • Identify the shell and each door or interior piece required
  • Separate fiberglass components from glazing and metal hardware
  • Record existing parts that must be considered during fitment discussion
  • Ask which brackets, holders or fixings accompany optional components

What a body purchase leaves to your build plan

A shell does not by itself establish the chassis choice, drivetrain layout, cabin finish or final assembly process. Those decisions form part of the larger vehicle project. Ask your builder to review the body and component scope before scheduling finishing work or committing to parts whose fit has not been checked.

Kits start at $20,000, with final pricing set by the selected configuration. A body-only request needs its own quotation; there is no separate fixed body-only price published here. Supply the delivery destination and intended timeframe so transport and production questions can be discussed alongside the physical package.
