Are the photographs on this page of the original reference car?
No. They show the new fiberglass reproduction in the workshop.
GULF COAST GULLWING / BODY & COMPONENTS
The reference explains the shape. The new fiberglass construction explains how that shape becomes the foundation for a customer’s own build.

Our mold was taken from an original 1954 first-series reference body. That is the starting point for the reproduced exterior form: the sweep of the fenders, the roofline and the distinctive body openings seen in the workshop photographs.
The product supplied is a newly manufactured fiberglass replica body. The reference history does not make it an original vehicle or imply manufacturer affiliation. When evaluating the shell, keep its visual origin distinct from its current material, supplied components and project-specific specification.
On the early reference design, the eyebrow sections above the wheels were separate pieces. Our production body incorporates those forms into the main fiberglass shell. The visible feature is retained while its relationship to the surrounding panel changes.
This is a useful detail to discuss when comparing photographs or preparing a body parts list. An eyebrow visible on the reproduction is an integrated form, not evidence of an extra separately supplied panel. Ask about the actual panel list in the quote rather than translating the reference construction directly into the kit contents.
The body photographs show the reproduction at different build stages. Some display optional exterior trim and bumper components. Other views show an unglazed body or a raised fiberglass door. These are construction and appearance references, with captions identifying their context.
They are not a dimensional survey of the original reference car. Exact body measurements, laminate details and supplied finish should come from the current product specification. If your workshop needs an additional angle or a particular detail, identify it during the enquiry.
The body is manufactured in the United States and supplied as part of a replica body and component offering. Door hardware, glazing, exterior details and cabin pieces must be coordinated with the configuration selected for the new build.
Use this reference story to understand the form, then move to the body and kit pages to define what you want supplied. The practical purchasing questions concern the current shell, its panels, the intended chassis, the fitment plan and the final written scope. That is how a historical shape becomes a clear starting point for a new project.
