GULF COAST GULLWING / BODY & COMPONENTS
A kit car project brings a body, a chassis, a collection of systems and a builder’s plan together. Begin by deciding who will do the work and what your project actually needs.

For a first-time builder, the word kit can suggest a fixed box containing everything required. A Gullwing project should instead begin with a written scope. Gulf Coast Gullwing supplies fiberglass bodies and specialist components; the assembly, mechanical systems and final finish need to be accounted for in your own plan.
Decide whether you will organize the project yourself, work with a specialist shop, or divide the work between several people. Identify the person who will make fitment decisions and maintain the parts list. This gives your supplier a clear point of reference when discussing what to supply.
An existing chassis is important information, not proof of compatibility. Tell us its identity and describe any modifications, drivetrain plans and parts already purchased. If you have not selected one, ask about frame-related options before committing to a platform.
Use the body, door, glazing and cabin requirements to guide the questions your builder asks. Avoid scheduling irreversible finishing work while major interfaces remain undecided. A coordinated specification is more useful than collecting appealing parts without knowing how they will be used together.
Our kits start at $20,000. The total project also depends on your selected components and work outside the supplied package. Build a budget with separate categories for the body, frame, drivetrain, running gear, glass, hardware, trim, interior, finishing, transport and workshop labor.
Do not count a photographed finished detail as an included item. Compare the quotation with your budget line by line, then ask about omissions. Production timing and the time your workshop needs to complete the car are separate questions; neither is given a fixed duration here.
Include your location, intended use, current chassis status, target date and the components you already own. Add a short explanation of your workshop plan. You can select individual items in the catalog and carry them into the enquiry form without placing an order.
Before planning road use, establish the applicable registration and inspection requirements with the responsible authority and your builder. This site makes no approval or certification claim for a completed vehicle. That planning sits alongside the mechanical and body work, rather than following automatically from a kit purchase.
