THE BUILD GUIDE / PROJECT PLANNING

What Is Included in a Gullwing Replica Kit?

The core offering centers on the fiberglass body and fiberglass interior foundation. Your quotation must confirm the exact pieces and any optional components included in the selected package.

A package name is a starting point

Body package, body plus components and complete project package describe the direction of an enquiry. They do not replace a parts list. A broad component selection still needs to identify the physical items supplied, and it does not mean an assembled vehicle is included.

Ask for the shell, door panels and each interior fiberglass piece to be identified. If your build already has some pieces, explain which ones. The quote should reflect the scope you need rather than an assumed standard collection.

Separate fiberglass from supporting systems

The windshield and other glazing, upper door hinges, spring strut, hook lock, latch and lock case belong to optional component discussions. Exterior bumper sections, grille pieces and trim also need their own confirmation. Frame-related supply depends on the proposed configuration.

For each assembly, ask whether holders, brackets, counterpart pieces and fixings accompany it. A main part may be only one line in the complete system. Keeping the surrounding pieces visible makes it easier for your workshop to plan the remaining sourcing work.

Identify what remains with the builder

Upholstery, instruments and seats are not stated as included. Mechanical systems, paint, finishing and assembly need a separate project plan unless the agreed supply expressly covers a particular item. Do not infer these from finished-reference photography.

The supplied surface condition and any preparation requirements should be discussed for the actual body and panels. Ask the person handling finishing which checks and information they need before scheduling their work.

Use a three-part checklist

Keep a list of confirmed included items, optional items you want quoted, and items you will source elsewhere. Add the intended chassis, delivery location and target date to the enquiry. This turns a general package question into a practical specification conversation.

Before moving ahead, reconcile the quote with the checklist and identify anything still undecided. A clear written boundary helps both the customer and the supplier understand what the price covers.
