Identify the opening before selecting the glass

Begin a glazing enquiry with the identity of the body and the opening you need to fill. A windshield request, a rear-window request and door-glass requirements are separate items even when they belong to the same car. State whether you are sourcing one piece or planning the glazing scope for a new build.

Specialist windshields can be supplied. Rear, side and door glazing options should be confirmed for your configuration. Dimensions, edge details and any required accompanying pieces need to be established before ordering.

Discuss the surrounding components

Glass, surrounding bodywork and finishing trim meet at the same opening. Tell us which parts you already have and ask which supporting pieces accompany the quoted glazing. Do not assume seals, channels, moldings or installation materials are included unless the itemized quote says so.

If you are using an existing shell, supply its source and any available specifications. Photographs and measurements may help start the conversation, but final compatibility should be confirmed against the applicable part and body information.

Plan the fitting and transport questions

Your installer should review the specified glazing and opening requirements before final body finishing. Ask what fitment checks they need to make and what information the supplier must provide. Avoid using a body photograph as evidence of a particular glass specification or installation method.

Include the delivery destination in the enquiry. Packaging, freight arrangements and current availability must be discussed for the supplied pieces. These are not fixed by the general kit starting price.

Keep glazing separate in the kit quote

The core kit offering centers on the fiberglass body and interior foundation. Glazing is an optional component scope to be specified with your project. A broad body-and-components enquiry can include it, but a broad package name is not evidence that every glass piece is included.
